There are 4 categories of Star Awards: Sprints, Distance, Throws and Jumps.
To achieve a Gold Award the athlete must achieve a ‘Gold Standard’ performance in TWO (2) events from an event category.
To achieve a Silver Award the athlete must achieve a ‘Silver Standard’ performance in TWO (2) events from an event category.
Under 6 and Under 7 athletes will receive the Jumps Star if they achieve the Long Jump Standard on TWO occasions.
Under 8 athletes will receive a Distance Star if they achieve the 400m Standard on TWO occasions.
Star Awards are visible on the athletes season achievement certificate.

The concept of this award is to encourage athletes to participate in all events available, and to rewards those athletes who improve their own personal performances in those events.
The system has three levels;
The awards are claimed in that order and based on gaining new season best performances.
Green Award
The FIRST PERFORMANCE in the specified number of events constitutes a Green Award.
Blue Award
The FIRST IMPROVED PERFORMANCE in the specified number of events constitutes a Blue Award.
Red Award
The SECOND IMPROVED PERFORMANCE in the specified number of events constitutes a Red Award.
